FinOps is commonly associated with the discipline of extracting the largest possible value from each dollar spent on the Cloud. While this is accurate, I’ve found my view of FinOps shifting over my career.

As the former CFO of proptech leader, Ten-X and House of Design Robotics, I’ve had significant exposure to cloud related costs. Outside of headcount costs, it was the second fastest growing line-item on our P&L.
